Eigenartiger Zufall

 

 

Es betrifft drei Schiffe die vor der Küste Wales in der Meerenge von Menai untergingen.

Am 5.Dezember 1664 sank das erste Schiff. Nur einer von 81 Passagieren überlebte, ein gewisser Hugh Williams.

Das zweite Schiff sank auch an einem 5. Dezember 121 Jahre später im Jahre 1785 und wieder an der gleichen Stelle. Alle verloren ihr Leben, bis auf einen, Namens Hugh Williams.

Man kann es kaum glauben, an selber Stelle, am 5. Dezember 1860 sank ein kleiner Kahn und 25 Passagiere ertranken.

Ein gewisser Herr Hugh Williams überlebte das Drama.
